Privacy Policy

TicketGuru is operated by TicketGuru Limited, Nairobi, Kenya. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use ticketguru.ke, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Account details you give us (name, email, phone), purchase details (the events and tickets you buy), and payment metadata. Card payments are processed by Paystack and M-Pesa payments by Safaricom Daraja — we never see or store your full card number or M-Pesa PIN. We also collect basic device and usage data to keep the service secure and reliable.

To issue and deliver your tickets, process payments and refunds, verify entry at the gate, prevent fraud, provide support, and send you transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets, payout updates). We do not sell your personal data.

Event organizers receive the attendee information needed to run their event (e.g. your name and ticket details). Payment processors (Paystack, Safaricom) and our email provider process data on our behalf under their own terms. We may disclose data where required by Kenyan law.

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, sessions use HttpOnly cookies, and every ticket carries a cryptographic signature that can't be forged. Access to personal data is restricted to staff who need it.

We keep order and ticket records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize them.

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact us and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and the app working (no third-party advertising trackers). You can clear cookies in your browser, but you may then need to sign in again.
